our services extend beyond translation

Interpretation in person

Dallas Translation for Interlingua USA also works with a network of experienced interpreters who can execute both consecutive and simultaneous interpretations on-site. We have interpreters who are certified by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC), National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT), American Translators Association (ATA), and the Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). This service is charged in 1 hour increments with 2 hour minimum. Read below to determine which mode is suitable for you.

Consecutive interpretations are a mode in which the client pauses to allow the interpreter to translate what has been communicated before proceeding. This type of interpretations is the most commonly used and does not require audio equipment, booths, or additional planning. It is often used for medical appointments, business meetings, interviews, and phone calls.

Simultaneous interpretations are a mode in which the interpreter speaks at the same time as the the speaker. In this scenario, the interpreter translates as quickly as he or she can in real time which allows for more fluidity as the pausing is eliminated. Depending on the length of the assignment, this mode of interpreting often calls for multiple interpreters. Simultaneous interpreting is commonly used at business conferences or board meetings as it requires listeners to wear headphones while the interpreter translates through a transmitter.

Interpretation over the phone

Off-site interpretations are becoming more and more common as they help individuals who wish to speak to each other but do not share a common tongue.

This service is charged in 15 minute increments with a 30 minute minimum.
